Qmerit Partners With Subaru to Simplify Residential EV Charger Installation

IRVINE, CA – MAY 6, 2022 –

Qmerit, the leading provider of implementation solutions for EV charging and other electrification technologies, and automaker Subaru have partnered to provide a simple, seamless home charger installation experience for drivers who have reserved Solterra electric vehicles.

Solterra reservation holders qualify for a $400 Qmerit credit for the installation of a Level 2 charger through Qmerit's nationwide network of certified installers. The partnership will make it easier for drivers to enjoy the convenience of Level 2 home charging, allowing them to replenish their EVs overnight.

The Solterra is Subaru's first all-electric vehicle, offering Level 2 AC and DC Fast Charging capabilities, making it easier for drivers to charge their vehicle at home or in the wild. Here's how the Solterra installation process works through Qmerit:

• Solterra reservation holders fill out Qmerit’s digital assessment to help Qmerit installers understand their needs. 
• After completing the assessment, customers receive an estimate from a Qmerit-certified installer in their area. 
• Upon confirmation, the installer schedules an installation appointment with the customer and handles all required permitting. 
• Once the installation is complete, Qmerit follows up with the customer about their experience, and to provide post-installation services. 

Solterra customers will need to purchase a Level 2 charging station separately, as the $400 installation credit does not extend to the cost of the charger. Reservation holders can shop for chargers though the Qmerit website, which links to their EV Charger hardware partners, or purchase a charger on their own.
