What happens if the power goes out?

Most short-lived power outages won’t impact your EV. If the power goes out while an EV is charging, most EV charging stations will simply resume charging as soon as the power comes back on. A power outage could impact the timer if you use a timer to control the recharging operation. A long-term power outage could prevent charging entirely. Thankfully, homeowners have some options.
