Price Match Guarantee

Eligibility

The Price Match Guarantee is available only to self-pay residential customers who requested their EV charger installation or other home electrical service through qmerit.com and are paying for the installation directly (retail non-sponsored programs). The customer must have received a written installation quote and must not have paid in full or begun installation. Standard residential EV charger installations and home electrical services only. Commercial, fleet, multi-unit residential, and workplace installations are not eligible.

Qualifying Quotes

To qualify, you must provide a qualifying competing quote which must: (1) be in writing from the competing company; (2) include company name, address, and electrical contractor license number; (3) itemize the scope of work, charger make and model, installation type, wire run, and any panel work; (4) include a total project price; (5) have been issued within 30 days of the Qmerit quote date. Verbal quotes, unverified online estimates, promotional pricing, introductory or new-customer discounts, and third-party discount platform rates do not qualify.

Scope Equivalence (permits excluded)

For a price match to apply, the competing quote must cover the same installation scope as your Qmerit quote in all material respects. Quotes are compared line by line and adjusted to an equivalent basis before any price difference is calculated. Where scopes differ, an adjusted match may be offered with a written explanation in Qmerit’s sole discretion. Permit fees are not price-matched.

Geographic Coverage

Available nationally, in all markets where Qmerit-certified installers are active and the customer qualifies as a self-pay residential customer. The competing installer must hold an active electrical contractor license in the same state as the installation address.

Exclusions

Not eligible:

1. quotes from unlicensed contractors;
2. promotional, flash, or seasonal offers;
3. introductory or new-customer pricing;
4. quotes that exclude scope items included in the Qmerit quote;
5. commercial or multi-family installations;
6. claims submitted after installation has begun or after full payment;
7. claims submitted more than 30 days after the Qmerit quote date;
8. installations purchased through any sponsored or bundled-pricing program (automaker, OEM, or contractor-sponsored);
9. quotes not comparable in scope, quality, certification, or warranty coverage. Permit fees are evaluated separately and are not matched.

The Price Match Guarantee is available only to self-pay customers on retail non-sponsored programs. Installations that carry sponsored or bundled pricing already have program-specific pricing and are not eligible. Rebates, incentives, and tax credits are not matched. Price comparisons are based on the quoted installation price before any rebate, incentive, or credit is applied.

Claim Process

To submit a Price Match Guarantee claim, email customerservice@qmerit.com. A Qmerit representative will reply with a short intake form, a list of required documents, and the published decision timeline. You must provide all information required to evaluate your claim, such as the competing quote, the competing installer’s license number and licensing authority, and a note of any scope differences. Incomplete submissions cannot be processed.

Verification Requirements

Before approving, Qmerit verifies the competing contractor’s active license and the comparability of the two quotes, and may contact the competing contractor to confirm validity. False, altered, or misleading documentation is grounds for immediate denial.

Decision Timeline

A decision is communicated within 3 business days of a complete submission. If more time is needed, you will be notified before that deadline. Failure to respond within the timeline does not constitute automatic approval.

Resolution Options

An approved claim may result in:

1. Full Price Match — the Qmerit price is adjusted to the verified competing price for equivalent scope, excluding permits;
2. Adjusted Match — where scopes differ, an equivalent comparison is applied and explained in writing;
3. Decline with Explanation — a written reason is provided. All decisions are final.

Expiration / Time Limit

A Price Match Guarantee claim must be submitted within 30 calendar days of the Qmerit quote date. The competing quote must also have been issued within 30 days and still be valid and open for acceptance at the time the claim is submitted.

Program Modification

Qmerit reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Price Match Guarantee at any time without notice. Changes will not affect previously approved claims already in progress.
