GM Energy Now Selling Products to Allow People to Power Their Home with a GM EV

General Motors, through its GM Energy business unit, has begun selling products that allow individuals to power their homes using their GM electric vehicles. These new offerings aim to reduce the impact of weather-related power outages and are designed to integrate with future clean energy solutions, enhancing personal grid resiliency.

These new products are available in bundles and can be accessed via the current GM mobile brand apps, enabling customers to manage the transfer of stored energy between compatible GM Energy products.

For product installation, GM Energy will connect customers with Qmerit, which will provide installation quotes based on location, energy usage, and other relevant factors.
