This municipal utility delivers power to residents across the city of Auburn, NE. Plus, if you need to install a new 240V circuit for your charger, you can claim another $600 rebate.

And business owners in Auburn can get $200 per kW to help pay for a Level 2 or DC Fast charger, with a cap of 50% of the project. Non-profits can get a rebate that covers up to 90% of their EV charging project.

Auburn also offers businesses help with running conduit to the charger through a rebate of $15 per foot, capped at $2,000.

Burt County Public Power District EV Charger Rebates

Burt County Public Power District residential customers can claim rebates up to $500 toward an at-home Level 2 charging station and $600 to upgrade their home with a dedicated 240V circuit.

Businesses can claim $200 per kW of charging capacity for a Level 2 or DC Fast charger. The limit is 50%, except for non-profits, which can claim a rebate of up to 90% of the project’s cost. Plus, you can claim a rebate of up to $2,000 to pay for conduit running to the station.

Butler Public Power District EV Charger Rebates

Located in David City, this utility serves over 6,500 customers. Thanks to the EnergyWise program, Butler Power residential customers can save $500 on a Level 2 charger and $600 on electric upgrades.

Butler Power commercial customers can claim rebates worth $200 per kW of charging capacity for your Level 2 or DC Fast charging project. If you need to run conduit to the charger, you can get a rebate of up to $2,000.

Cedar-Knox Public Power District EV Charger Rebates

Cedar-Knox PPD delivers electricity to Cedar County and covers parts of Dixon, Knox, Pierce, and Wayne counties. Cedar-Knox  residential customers can claim a $500 rebate for a home Level 2 EV charger and receive up to $600 to install a 240V circuit.

If you own a business in Cedar-Knox service territory, you can receive a rebate covering up to 50% of an EV charging station’s cost or $200 per kW of capacity. Help is also available to pay for conduit, up to $2,000.

Cornhusker Public Power District EV Charger Rebates

This public power district serves over 10,000 customers in Columbus and nearby areas.

As a residential customer of Cornhusker Power, you’re eligible for a $500 Level 2 EV charger rebate. If you need to install a new circuit to power it, a $600 rebate is available. Business customers can receive up to 50% of the cost of an EV charging station, with a limit of $200 per kWh of capacity. You can also claim a rebate of up to $2,000 to cover costs associated with running conduit to the station.

Dawson Public Power District EV Charger Rebates

The Dawson Public Power District is one of the largest utilities in rural Nebraska, serving more than 530,000 customers. Residential customers that upgrade their home with a Level 2 charger can claim a $500 rebate. You can also receive up to $600 to cover the cost of electrical upgrades.

If you’re a business customer of Dawson Power, you can get help covering up to 50% of a Level 2 or DC Fast charging station, on top of a rebate for conduit. Non-profits can get an EV charger rebate worth up to 90% of project costs.

Elkhorn Rural Public Power District EV Charger Rebates

The Elkhorn Rural Public Power District delivers electricity to Madison and Antelope Counties, as well as surrounding areas.

Elkhorn Power offers a $500 rebate for Level 2 home EV chargers, not to exceed 50% of the cost of the equipment. You can stack this rebate with a $600 incentive if you need to upgrade your circuit before installation.

Elkhorn business customers may claim a $200 per kW commercial rebate to help pay for a Level 2 or Fast DC charging station, and get $15 per foot of conduit, up to $2,000.

High West Energy Co-Op EV Charger Rebates

As a High West Energy Co-Op residential customer, you’re eligible for a $250 rebate toward a Level 2 home charger installation, not to exceed 50% of the total cost. If you install a connected charger and let the utility manage it remotely, your rebate could increase to $1,000 instead.

High West Energy business customers can qualify for a $1,000 rebate to help cover equipment and installation costs for a Level 2 charger. If you’re looking into DC Fast chargers, you could get $3,000 to $7,500, depending on the charger’s capacity.

Highline Electric Association EV Charger Rebates

Highline electric residential customers can save 50% on a Level 2 charger, with a cap at $250, evenly split between the charger and installation costs. The Highline Electric Association currently doesn’t have any EV rebates for businesses.

Loup Power District EV Charger Rebates

The Loup Power District distributes electricity to 22 Nebraska communities, serving over 62,000 customers.

Residential customers have access to a $500 rebate to save on an at-home Level 2 charger. Plus, you can also get up to $600 to cover the cost of pre-wiring your home.

Loup Power offers a rebate worth $200 per kW of charging capacity for commercial Level 2 and DC Fast charging projects. Your business can also get a financial incentive of up $2,000 to help with installing conduit.

Nebraska Public Power District EV Charger Rebates

With a presence in 84 counties, the Nebraska Public Power District is the state’s largest electric utility. As a residential customer of Nebraska Public Power, you can get a $500 rebate to help pay for a Level 2 EV charger. There is a cap at 50% of the charger’s cost. If you need to add a new circuit to your home, you can claim up to $600 or 100% of the project’s cost.

The Nebraska Public Power District offers a commercial rebate of $200 per kW for Level 2 and DC Fast chargers capped at 50% of the total cost. The cap increases to 90% for non-profits. Plus, you can get $15 per foot of conduit, helping you save up to $2,000.

Norris Public Power District EV Charger Rebates

Norris Power residential customers can save up to $500 on a Level 2 EV charger and receive an additional $600 to help pay for pre-wiring.

Norris Power business customers can claim rebates worth $200 per kW of capacity for a Level 2 or DC Fast charger and $15 per foot of conduit.

Southern Public Power District EV Charger Rebates

As a Southern Public Power District residential customer, you can qualify for a rebate of up to $500 for an EV charger. You can also stack this incentive with a $600 rebate to install a dedicated 240V circuit.

Southern Power business incentives include rebates worth up to $200 per kW of charging capacity for Level 2 and DC Fast charging stations and $15 per foot of conduit.

EV Charging Rates in Nebraska

With average residential electrical rates of $0.10 per kWh, Nebraska is one of the most affordable states for electricity. For EV owners, this makes charging at home an appealing option.

Loup Power District

If you enroll in the Loup Power District optional time-of-use plan, you’ll pay $0.057 per kWh during on-peak summer hours, $0.050 per kWh during off-peak summer hours, $0.047 per kWh during on-peak winter hours, and $0.041 per kWh during off-peak winter hours.

On-peak hours begin at 8 a.m. in the winter and 10 a.m. in the summer, and they end at 10 p.m. all year round.

Nebraska Public Power District

This utility offers a time-of-use rate with three billing periods throughout the day. In the winter, you’ll pay $0.04 per kWh from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day. Your rate will spike at $0.17 per kWh from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Outside of these hours, you’ll pay $0.06 per kWh.

In the summer, on-peak hours last from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and come at $0.20 per kWh. You’ll pay $0.04 per kWh from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and $0.08 per kWh the rest of the time.

Public EV Charging Stations in Nebraska
