Vernon Riggs

Vernon brings this expertise to his current role at Qmerit, where he focuses on developing the company’s network of company-owned contractors and Certified Solution Partners.

Prior to joining Qmerit in 2020, Vernon spent 15 years at Neighborly Brands—the nation’s largest residential service company—where he held a variety of positions including Vice President of Operations for Mr. Electric, Vice President of Development for Mr. Rooter and Vice President of Development for AireServ HVAC. During a five-year hiatus from Neighborly Brands, he served as Director of Acquisitions for Realogy, owner of the brands Coldwell Banker, Century21, Sotheby’s, Corcoran, ERA, and Better Homes and Gardens. Vernon was also Director of Development at GreenHomes, owned by ABM Industries, from which Qmerit was spun off in 2016.

Vernon attended the University of Kansas and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Friends University, a Quaker-affiliated liberal arts college in Wichita, Kansas.
