Why Level 2 is #1 for Home Charging

As you may know, there are three types of EV chargers: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 (also known as DC Fast Charging).

Level 1 Charging

Typically included with your EV purchase, Level 1 home chargers plug into a standard 120-volt electrical outlet but only provide 3-5 miles of charging per hour.

Level 2 Charging

Level 2 chargers are the most popular since they can fully replenish an EV battery in a few hours. Charge where you park overnight with Level 2, like your home garage.

Level 3 Charging

Great for road trips, these charging stations replenish a battery to 80% in 30 minutes. They’re found exclusively in commercial settings and not available for home installation.
